Relax with Forest Therapy at the Geelong Botanic Gardens
Give yourself the gift of relaxation by slowing down and connecting with nature through forest therapy at the Geelong Botanic Gardens, a two-hour rejuvenating escape into one of Australia’s oldest and most beautiful botanic gardens which is listed on the Victorian Heritage Register.
Originating from the Japanese practice of “Shinrin-yoku” or “Forest Bathing,” forest therapy immerses participants in the natural environment to reduce stress and enhance wellbeing. Supported by extensive medical and scientific research, this practice is known for its wide-reaching health benefits.
During your guided session, you will learn about the science behind Forest Therapy and its mental and physical health benefits. Your guide will lead you on a gentle walk through the gardens, encouraging you to take in the serene beauty and sensory experiences of the lush surroundings. Unlike a hike, this walk is slow-paced, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in the environment.
The session concludes with a tea-sharing ceremony, inspired by the Japanese way of tea.
Hosted on Saturday 13 July from 10am – 12pm at the Geelong Botanic Gardens, tickets can be purchased by clicking below.
